On Saturday, Palestinians mourned those who perished while trying to seek help. At least 23 people killed at the Zikram crossing, the main entry point for humanitarian aid to northern Gaza. People are getting hit by the trucks, people are getting shot at by, once again, the Israeli forces. We see armed gangs as well. Aid drops have been falling from the sky. The French military among international efforts to deliver food and supplies to Gaza, where the population is facing emergency and catastrophic levels of food insecurity, according to the United Nations. There is zero way of organising or controlling what happens when these packages fall. Of course, people run desperately towards them. Israel enforced a complete blockade on food and aid supplies in March to increase pressure on Hamas to release hostages. Hamas released a new video of a Vieta David appearing skeletally thin, sparking outrage in Israel. They are on the absolute brink of death. Israel's army chief says unless the terrorist group releases the hostages, combat will continue in Gaza. So too will the inhumane civilian suffering. Sarah Naven, 10 News.
