Hours earlier, Trump welcomed the crown prince with an arrival ceremony full of pomp and a flyover of six military jets, red carpet treatment for Saudi Arabia's leader, who's pledged billions of dollars in American investment. And I want to thank you because you've agreed to invest $600 billion into the United States. And because of this, my friend, he might make it a trillion. Mr. President, we're going to announce that we are going to increase that $600 billion to almost $1 trillion of investment, real investment and real opportunity by details in many areas. Part of that investment, $142 billion for F-35 fighter jets, considered some of the most advanced in the world. U.S. law mandates that Israel has a military advantage in the Middle East. The Israeli lobby and government work to block the sale, the first for an Arab country. In the Oval Office, I asked President Trump about the sale of the F-35s to the Saudis. Are these the same ones that are being used by the Israeli military? I know they'd like you to get planes of reduced caliber. I don't think that makes you too happy. They've been a great ally. Israel's been a great ally. And we're looking at that exactly right now. But as far as I'm concerned, I think they are both at a level where they should get top of the line. For his part, Trump wants Saudi Arabia to join the Abraham Accords, normalizing relations with Israel. But the Saudis are firm not before a two-state solution for Israel and Palestine. We want to be part of the Abraham Accords, but we want also to be sure that we secure a clear path of two-state solution. It's a pivotal moment in U.S.-Saudi relations, not yet over.
