They report that many people remain stranded or unable to move due to ongoing dangers, with vulnerable groups such as persons with disabilities at heightened risk.

The World Health Organization estimates that over 21 million people in Sudan are currently facing acute food insecurity, making it one of the world's largest food crises. Additionally, the Human Rights Council has called for an urgent inquiry into hospital killings and other rights violations in al-Fashir, allegedly committed by the RSF.

Officials from three UN agencies have delivered stark warnings, urging action to stop the worsening situation in Sudan. The already dire humanitarian situation got worse after the fall of al-Fashir.
