Kneecap’s appearance has drawn controversy due to their previous display of a Hezbollah flag at a concert, prompting UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer to comment that their performance would not be appropriate. However, Glastonbury’s organiser has defended the festival’s inclusive approach, stating it remains a platform for artists from around the world. The festival is set to take a break in 2026, following its tradition of resting the land every few years.

Other big names in the mix include Rod Stewart, Charlie XCX, Prodigy and Kneecap, an Irish hip-hop trio under scrutiny for waving a flag of the armed Lebanese group Hezbollah on stage at a concert in November. UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer even weighed in this week saying their performance would not be appropriate. But Glastonbury's organiser dismissed the controversy saying the festival is open to all. We remain just a platform for many, many artists from all over the world and, you know, everyone is welcome here. Keen punters are sure to bask in every moment, under the forecasted sunshine and rain, before the festival takes a break in 2026. Glastonbury is held on a working dairy farm and fellow years to rest the land have been a routine fixture since it was first held back in 1970.
