At least four Australians were on board. All made it to shore without injury. But two Chinese nationals were killed and an Indonesian crew member is still missing. Another 15 people treated for their injuries in hospital. At Senor today, recovery efforts were underway. The Denpasar Chief of Rescue said a joint team had been deployed, the Indonesian Navy and police, among those who searched the seas for the missing crew member, as 200 people and two excavators worked to right the boat. The pier was closed for 24 hours while large waves continued to batter the coast, cancelling ferries and delaying travel plans. They just told me there is bad weather. I called them, they didn't tell me anything. They didn't tell me anything about the cancellation. The boat had been on its way back from the popular island Nusa Penida. It's the third fatal boat accident off Bali's coast this year. In March, a Canberra woman was killed on the way to a snorkelling trip on the same island. A Queensland couple left seriously injured, while a ferry carrying at least 65 people went down just last month.
