After the call, Zelensky said that Moscow appears to be more inclined to a ceasefire now following Trump envoy Steve Whitkoff's latest visit. We discussed what was said in Moscow. It seems that Russia is now more inclined to ceasefire. The pressure on them will work. But the main thing is that they do not deceive us in details, nor us, nor the United States. The news comes just days before Trump's deadline for Russia to reach a peace deal in the war or face fresh sanctions was due. In mid-July, Trump announced a 50-day deadline for Russia, which he shortened two weeks later, slashing weeks off due to a lack of progress being made.
