Tropical Storm Gabrielle is moving into more favorable conditions as shear is beginning to decrease. As a result, the storm is looking more organized and strengthening is expected into the weekend.

Tropical Storm Gabrielle is currently moving northwest with sustained winds of 50 miles per hour. While the storm has not appeared particularly organized or strong in its recent history, it is showing signs of increased centralization and organization. Forecasts indicate that Gabrielle is expected to strengthen to hurricane status as it continues its path, which is projected to remain east of Bermuda, reducing the potential impact on the island.

So far this Atlantic hurricane season, there have been seven named storms, which is below the average of nine for this point in the season. Additionally, only one hurricane has formed so far, compared to the usual four by this time. Gabrielle's development is being closely monitored as the season progresses.

It has not looked incredibly healthy, and while it looks a bit more centralized and slightly more organized today than it did yesterday at this time, still does not look like an impressive, impressive tropical system. Now is forecast to strengthen to hurricane strength as we had through the weekend and remain so into early and mid next week as it moves. Now the forecast has this to the east of Bermuda. Because the West side typically typically tends to be a little less, a little less impactful than being on the East side of the storm. So far, the Atlantic Basin has had seven named storms on average. At this point in the season, we should have had about 9, but here's the stat that I find so far. We should have had at least four hurricanes. Instead, we've only had one hurricane Aaron.
