Areas such as Kerrville and San Angelo, which have already experienced significant flooding and road washouts, remain at risk as additional rainfall of 2-4 inches is forecast, with isolated totals up to 10 inches possible. 

The rainfall is not expected to be as severe as in previous days, but even small amounts could cause further issues due to saturated ground. Tropical moisture and high dew points are contributing to the ongoing storm activity, with potential impacts extending to cities including Houston, Dallas-Fort Worth, and Austin.

Throughout the entire holiday weekend, we had flood watches in place. Basically since the 4th of July, when that tragedy occurred and we still have a flood watch for today, right through this evening, including these hard hit areas like Kerrville up towards San Angelo, where you too saw some devastating flooding. Lot of roads washed out too, so be careful if you are still traveling, maybe home from the holiday weekend. The good news is the rainfall is not going to be as bad as what we've seen the past few days. Some areas around Houston up to an inch, maybe between San Angelo and Junction. You could see up to an inch of rainfall, but remember we don't need any rain at all. It may not take much rainfall to cause some problems, so we'll keep an eye on what kind of develops today, especially with the daytime heating. We still have tropical moisture in place. We didn't get a front coming through, so the dew points are still up there and you can see the storms that will be triggered as we head toward this afternoon into the evening time frame. Even the Dallas Fort Worth area looking at the possibility of storms, but between Austin and Bear County. Look at these storms that pop up just after the sun goes down toward the evening time frame aside from the isolated showers, it's hot, it's humid for the recovery efforts here in Kerrville as well as San Angelo, TX.
