Plainclothes agents and detainees scrambled to safety, and agents later pulled injured victims from the vehicle. Authorities report that two detainees were injured and one was killed. The shooter, identified as Joshua Yon, was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound on a nearby rooftop. Investigators believe Yon specifically targeted ICE agents, citing evidence of extensive pre-attack planning and anti-ICE sentiment. The processing center remains closed, and community activists have called for more information about the victims. Officials are discussing new security measures for the facility.

CBS News obtained this surveillance video that shows the moment a gunman started shooting into a van filled with agents and detainees parked outside the Dallas Ice Field Office. While bullets hit the van, plainclothes agents and detainees scrambled to safety. Agents can be seen ushering shackled detainees inside. A few moments later, ice and ATF agents head back towards the van, pulling injured victims out of the vehicle. Police say two detainees were injured. One was killed in the gunman identified as 29 year old. Joshua Yon was found dead on a rooftop from a self inflicted gunshot FBI special agent in charge Joseph Rothrock Yon specifically intended to kill ice agents. He fired at transport vehicles carrying ice personnel, federal agents and detainees. Agents say Yon search history included Dallas County DHS buildings, ballistics information and apps that track the presence of ice agents, leading investigators to believe Yon conducted a high degree of pre attack planning. The FBI released this picture of unspent shell casings found on the scene, one with the words anti ice written on it. The processing center remains closed today, but migrants are still showing up, many of them coming for their court ordered ice check in appointments. They were turned away and told to come back Monday. Last night in Dallas, community activists held a vigil to remember the victims of the shooting. They want investigators to release more information on the injured detainees. Tony Rodriguez is with the Brown Berets. They just paint us as illegal illegals or criminals, but these are fathers. These are sons late yesterday. We saw investigators remove a ladder. They say was used by the gunman to get on top of that building and then aim this way at the. Ice facility, so we asked DHS officials what they plan to do to procure the ice facility for agents and detainees. They did not want to go into detail, but they say plans are being discussed.
