Summer is stubbornly holding on in parts of the South and Southeast this weekend. Temperatures in the 90s possible for cities like Atlanta, New Orleans, Dallas and San Antonio.

Large parts of the southern United States are facing a period of intense heat, with temperatures in some locations expected to reach or exceed triple digits. Cities such as Atlanta, Nashville, Montgomery, and San Antonio are forecast to experience highs in the 90s Fahrenheit, with some areas potentially breaking temperature records. 

The heat is expected to persist into the following week, particularly across the Southern Plains and West Texas. While cooler conditions can be found at higher elevations in the Rockies and along the Pacific Northwest, most of the region will remain significantly warmer than average.

We still have the warm conditions that are just going to be scattered across parts of the Southern Plains. Some locations could read triple digits into next week and gap. We could break some records in a lot of places. Also spots like Death Valley, California. You can have high temperatures that will be abnormally warm heights today in Atlanta. Some nineties Nashville will be even warmer. Montgomery 95 expect that is not even including your high moisture content where it's going to be just sweltering out there. Highest 5-10 degrees above average for today. And then, well, if you go into West Texas for tomorrow, that's where things really began to uptick in a tremendous way for much of the Permian Basin, the Guadalupe Mountains and the Texas Hill Country in San Antonio, 95 degrees 95 matching perfectly what you'll find in Lombok, Oklahoma City. You'll have cooler conditions, but not a great deal of a cool down. I mean, no one's gonna get frostbite with 90 degrees, right? Entry port. You'll be into the nineties also now in terms of what to expect for Monday. Your high temperatures, San Angelo, Midland, El Paso, Del Rio and even in Abilene. Very, very warm times can be expected. You can find cooler air, but you gotta do some walking or driving as it were maybe flying for some of you to get into the central northern Rockies. You will find temperatures a bit warmer. High elevation is going to be key. Yellowstone. You'll have it. The Aspen from what I've told what I've been told. Unfortunately, I can't see it firsthand. I haven't been there, but I'll tell you the conditions are gonna be great for the Aspen trees. Helena more the same. A 84 for you in Boise and look at that.
