We've got the latest on a severe weather threat Friday from Southern Plains into the Midwest that's capable of producing widespread severe wind gusts and the potential for tornadoes, especially in Iowa and Missouri. We're actually watching the second snowstorm of the week for this severe threat, and it peaks early evening until close to midnight for major cities like Kansas City, Oklahoma City, and Des Moines, Iowa. And while the severe weather threat diminishes overnight, we do have the threat of heavy rain and potential flash flooding lasting through those overnight hours as heavy rain is expected and some isolated models are hinting up to seven inches of rain. Flash flooding concern mostly focused on the Southern Plains to the mid-Mississippi Valley, including Dallas, Texas and Springfield, Missouri.
