The Southeast needs to prepare for a multiday flood threat that starts Friday and continues into next week. An upper level low will interact with a stalled front to bring heavy rain to parts of Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina and Virginia this weekend.

The Southeast region is experiencing ongoing rainfall, with areas such as Tallahassee already seeing significant precipitation. Showers and storms are expected to continue through the weekend, increasing the risk of flooding before any tropical moisture arrives. Forecasts indicate that conditions could deteriorate further as additional moisture moves in toward the end of the weekend and into the following week. Residents are advised to remain alert as rain accumulations could reach double digits in some locations.
