Meteorologists are tracking two significant weather disturbances expected to bring severe storms across the Plains and Midwest regions of the United States. The areas most at risk include northern Illinois, southern Wisconsin, eastern Iowa, and parts of Arkansas, with additional threats extending southward into Oklahoma, Texas, and the Red River Valley.

The forecast indicates that some locations recently impacted by thunderstorms, hail, and strong winds may experience repeated severe weather events. The severe weather threat is projected to shift into southern Iowa and northern Missouri as the systems progress.

two disturbances we're watching which also have a winter side of it which we'll get to in a moment but in terms of the severe weather it again some of these same areas are just going to be on repeat now we've got the general outlook all right today you can clearly see where that big bullseye is in eastern illinois or iowa northern illinois excuse me southern wisconsin tail end of it coming down through arkansas as well moisture pulling to the north but look another area of low pressure coming and right behind it which might you know obviously get more of a dig uh for the trough which will help bring this a little bit farther to the south potentially so now we're going to be back into some places that already saw thunderstorms hail and big wind and that is places like oklahoma city the red river valley down into parts of texas up here in the hill country and yet again we'll just shift that bullseye into southern iowa and northern missouri
