Odinga, a significant political figure who served as Prime Minister in 2008 and recently allied with President William Ruto, died in India while receiving medical treatment.

Though mainly known as an opposition figure, Odinga became Prime Minister in 2008. He also struck a political pact with President William Ruto last year in a career of shifting alliances.
