Zelensky also stated that only the U.S. and President Trump could potentially persuade Russia to end the conflict.

In his annual press conference yesterday, Putin blamed Ukraine for the ongoing war. And when asked about the possibility of Russia fighting neighboring countries, said, what kind of nonsense is this? It's not we who are fighting you. It's you who are fighting us via the Ukrainian nationalists. By you, Putin meant Europe, which yesterday agreed to a support package for Ukraine worth over $100 billion. Ukraine says it's desperately needed funding for the fight, after President Trump scaled back assistance from the United States, saying Europe should take more of a share in its own defense. According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, now it has. I think that Europe showed leadership and this is very important and tough, strong position. Thank you. Thank you that you supported us. Ukraine says the funding Europe agreed to provide is absolutely vital to its continued ability to defend itself.
