A source says the investigation will look into claims that millions of dollars in mortgage loans and refinancing were fraudulent based on Swalwell, declaring his primary residence was in Washington D. C. Congressman Swalwell responded with a statement saying as the most vocal critic of Donald Trump over the last decade and as the only person who still has a surviving lawsuit against him. The only thing I am surprised about is that it took him this long to come after me like James Comey and John Bolton, Adam Schiff and Lisa Cook, Leticia James and the dozens more to come. I refuse to live in fear and what was once the freest country in the world. The Justice Department has joined a Republican lawsuit to block the new congressional district boundaries approved by California voters last week under Proposition 50 Attorney General Pam Bondi saying in a statement today quote California's redistricting scheme is a brazen power grab that tramples on civil rights. The measure changes congressional boundaries to give Democrats an edge in five districts held by Republicans. The Republican Party argues that the new maps violate the Constitution by favoring latino voters in the complaint. There are some allegations that the person who drew the maps mentioned different racial groups and said like this will be a majority hispanic district or this will be a majority black district. Loyola Marymount law professor Jessica Levinson there saying that the state of California is likely to argue that the measure was specifically designed around partisan affiliation and that there's no racial component.
