A quick-hitting weather system is expected to move from the Great Lakes into the Northeast, bringing a mix of rain, sleet, and heavy snow. Areas such as Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, and upstate New York are forecast to receive the most snow, especially in higher elevations, with totals reaching up to 10 inches on Mount Washington.

Cities like Buffalo and Erie will see changing precipitation types, while Pennsylvania and the Washington, DC area are likely to experience rain. Snowfall in Burlington and other northern areas is expected to develop Monday afternoon and persist through Tuesday, resulting in wintry conditions for much of the region.

It will remain as snow for you. Total snow forecast. The highest hitters will be where you have the highest elevation. Could be 6 to 8, maybe 5 to 8 in some spots, maybe a little bit more overperforming. Mount Washington may be up to 10, certainly in the realm of possibility. But Tuesday, a messy day for portions of the Keystone State of Pennsylvania. And I would say, yeah, it looks like for DC, maybe some rain showers in Pittsburgh. Looks like rain for you and Burlington. It's going to be snow, but you have to wait on it. Not Monday, no, no Monday afternoon. You will see some develop, but it looks like more evening hours for you. Tuesday top to bottom throughout much the day and into the evening. More of the snow globe in your world, Kelly.
