A Qantas A380 flight bound for Johannesburg was delayed after the aircraft collided with an aero bridge at Sydney International Airport. The incident left hundreds of passengers stranded, requiring them to spend the night in Sydney as the flight was rescheduled for departure 21 hours later. 

Sydney Airport and Qantas are investigating the cause of the collision, and engineers will inspect and repair the aircraft before it returns to service. No injuries were reported, and Qantas is assisting affected passengers with accommodation. A similar incident involving an aero bridge occurred at Brisbane Airport the previous month.

The flight's been rescheduled to tomorrow morning, 21 hours after the original departure time. Sydney Airport says it's working closely with Qantas as they investigate the cause. The national carrier has told us the aircraft will be inspected by engineers in Sydney and repaired before returning to service. Thankfully though, no one was injured in this incident. Passengers had to leave the jet by the lower deck. It's also not the first time this has happened. A similar incident happened in Brisbane Airport last month when the plane collided with an aero bridge there, destroying the front windscreen. As for the passengers affected by this incident today, they've had to get on another flight tomorrow morning at 6.45. That's been rescheduled for and Qantas says it will help passengers find accommodation for the night.
