During the demonstration, there were reports of a vehicle approaching protesters, but police confirmed no injuries occurred. ICE has not yet responded to requests for comment regarding the protests or the operation.

Event organizers say the actions of ice do not represent safety, but rather a war on our community. With one post reading when our neighbors are targeted, our whole community is under attack and we won't stay silent. So protesters have gathered right now at the Colorado State Capitol and that's where we find Denver sevens Colette Bordelon. Colette tell us what you're seeing out there now. Jacqueline, when we first got here that afternoon storm, it really cleared out a lot of the people who are here during that daytime protest. But they tell me there were hundreds of people out here today. They marched from the Colorado State Capitol to Union Station and I've been talking with some of the people you might see right behind me. They say there is still a protest planned for this evening. Now, when we got here, like I was saying, it was just starting to rain. The street was blocked off with different police vehicles. Protesters tell me that's because they tried to take the street for a second time and they claim a car attempted to drive into them. I talked with Denver police, they say around 10 to 15 people were trying to block Lincoln and an S. U. V. Slowly approached and made their way through. Police are saying no one was hurt. Now the groups gathered in response to an ice operation throughout the Denver Metro, where more than 200 immigrants were arrested in july. I really do believe that there is no illegal person. You know, there are neighbors, they are our community. These are people that have worked hard to give back. These are people that have family members that have loved ones who God knows what they're going through in these facilities. I reached out to ice to see if they have anything to say about these protests. I haven't heard back just yet. We'll also be here tonight to see what else happens. We're live in Denver club border on Denver seven. All right, thank you Colette and Denver sevens pushing for answers after a suspect we were told was on the run from ice was actually in ice custody. Ice tells us two people attempted to ram ice officers with their vehicles thursday in the black forest area of El Paso County. The suspect already in custody was Francisco Zapata Pacheco while Jose Mendez Chavez is still at large. So we asked ice for the reason for that omission. We will let you know when we hear back from them.
