Officials allege that Christian Sturtevant, who recently turned 18, planned to use knives and hammers to attack people at a grocery store and fast-food restaurant, inspired by ISIS tactics.

Authorities say weapons and detailed plans were found in Sturtevant's home, and that he had expressed support for ISIS since the age of 14. The investigation was aided by a tip from New York police, who linked suspicious TikTok posts to Sturtevant. No plea or public comment has been made by the suspect.

The FBI says the use of readily accessible weapons like knives against soft targets like grocery stores is a page out of the Isis playbook for strikes.

The blaze at Le Constellation, killing at least 40 people and injuring about 115 others, many seriously, was likely started by sparklers in champagne bottles, authorities said on Friday afternoon, as identification of those killed and injured continued.
