Police in Corona, California responded to a situation where a newborn was left unattended in a car with the engine off and windows rolled up. Officers reported that the temperature inside the vehicle reached 110 degrees before they used a crowbar to break a window and rescue the distressed baby.

Authorities did not disclose information about the child's parents. The incident comes amid warnings from the National Safety Council, which reports that at least seven children have died this year after being left in hot cars.
