At least one person was killed and nine others wounded by gunshots at the Kansas City Chiefs' Super Bowl parade, the city Fire Department said. Two armed people are in custody, according to the police.

And according to ABC, citing the Kansas City Fire Department, one person is dead and nine others are injured following this shooting. They cite officials saying three victims are now in critical condition, five in serious condition. One other has non life threatening injuries. Now, officials have asked people to leave this area so that people could be treated accordingly. Two armed individuals have been detained, according to Kansas City Police, for further investigation. They have not yet identified those individuals or anything that may seem a potential motive here. But again, one individual has died and nine others injured following this shooting. And according to the Gun Violence Archive, guys, this is the 47th mass shooting of the year after these initial reports. Keeping in mind it is February 14th, the day also significant as this is the six year anniversary of the Parkland shooting in Florida, where 17 were killed at a high school six years ago. Once again, putting a spotlight on gun violence in the United States of America at this Kansas City Chiefs Parade, what was supposed to be a celebration of their Super Bowl victory just days ago. We know at least one life was lost, many others injured. And of course, Bloomberg will continue to bring you the latest on it. We have not yet independently verified this information. But again, according to officials cited by other news networks, that is the casualties we are looking at at this point, guys.
