A North Las Vegas police officer is recovering from minor injuries after being struck by a car during an encounter with a suspicious vehicle containing two adults and three children. Police say the incident began when officers spoke with the driver outside the vehicle, who then re-entered the car and struck an officer. An officer subsequently fired at the suspect, who was taken into custody and transported to hospital with gunshot wounds. The three children and a woman passenger were also taken to hospital. The officer who was struck is reported to have sustained minor injuries.

Three Children and a woman passenger were also taken to the hospital and the officer who was hit by the car sustained minor injuries were told.
