While there were no immediate reports of injuries or significant damage, the quake did cause some disruptions, with traffic halted on bridges, tunnels and train tracks and minor airport delays due to safety inspections. Officials urged people to get back to normal as quickly as possible. New Yorkers should go about their normal day. First responders are working to make sure the city is safe. Earthquakes are rare on the U.S. East Coast, but this Canadian expert says there's always some level of danger. So we can have earthquakes pretty much anywhere in the world, even though they're less frequent and tend to be smaller in the eastern regions.
