The crew reported that both their health and the spacecraft's performance remain strong, despite encountering a minor issue with their $30 million onboard toilet, which was quickly resolved.

The astronauts described awe-inspiring views of Earth and expressed appreciation for their extraordinary journey. The Artemis crew is expected to return to Earth within a week, concluding this significant chapter in lunar exploration.

It was the most spectacular moment and it paused all four of us in our tracks. A pause of appreciation for home. Sending four humans 250,000 miles away is a Herculean effort and we are now just realising the gravity of that. The crew have made a giant leap for their mission, given the go from ground control to exit Earth's orbit. Integrity looks like a good burn. The spaceship performed a translunar injection burn, a manoeuvre to catapult the craft past the far side of the moon, a place no human has ever gone. It was pretty tense moments there for a second. It was flawless. The burn was the last major firing of this mission. Our crew is healthy and our spacecraft is performing really well. But the journey hasn't been without some trouble. And Integrity Houston for Christina and toilet troubleshooting. The crew had discovered their state of the art loo was out of order. The $30 million throne had malfunctioned, but only for number one use. I like to say that it is probably the most important piece of equipment on board. So we were all breathing a sigh of relief when it turned out to be just fine. This trip though, anything but just fine. It's just so extraordinary.
