Morocco has announced a $4.2 billion investment to upgrade its airports in preparation for co-hosting the FIFA World Cup with Portugal and Spain in 2030. The plan aims to boost the country's airport capacity from 38 million to 80 million passengers annually by the end of the decade.

The modernization will focus on key airports in Marrakech, Agadir, Tangier, and Fez, with particular emphasis on Casablanca's main airport. This investment is also expected to support Morocco's tourism sector, which recently recorded over 17 million visitors in a single year.
