Matt Boldy wasted no time getting the Wild on the board, scoring just 5 seconds into the game unassisted. The Minnesota forward wasn't done there, adding a power play goal minutes later with assists from Quentin Hughes and Matt's Zuccarello to put his team up 2-0. Edmonton's Connor McDavid answered back with a power play strike of his own, assisted by Leon Dreisaitl and Zach Hyman to even things at 2. But Ryan Hartman quickly restored Minnesota's lead, finding the net with help from Joel Middleton and Zuccarello. The Wild would go on to win 5-2, extending their winning streak to 7 games while setting a franchise record with their 14th straight home game earning points.
