A hooded individual fired more than a dozen shots at a home in Casula, New South Wales, before fleeing the scene. No injuries were reported as the house was unoccupied and undergoing renovations at the time of the shooting.

Police have stated that the property is known to authorities and suspect the incident is linked to organised crime. The investigation is ongoing as officers work to identify the intended target and apprehend the shooter.

I actually thought it was from the top street over here behind. More than a dozen shots landed in the front door of the home. Luckily no one was inside. It's currently undergoing renovations. Yes, it was really scary. I was like really scared so I went under the covers in my mum's bed. This house is known to police. Neighbours telling 10 News a man was arrested at this property nearly 10 years ago. But for now police are still trying to figure out who the intended target of this morning's shooting was. Police say they believe it is linked to organised crime as the hunt for the gunman continues tonight. Mikaela Fanto, 10 News.
