Upon searching the vehicle, officers found firearm ammunition, leading to the man's arrest and the seizure of the ammunition. A subsequent search at a related residence resulted in the discovery and confiscation of two firearms. The man has been charged with multiple offences, had his firearms licence suspended, and has been granted bail pending a court appearance.

Shortly before 3pm on Friday, officers were patrolling in Strathfield when they saw this black sedan with its Chinese police insignia sign writing. The 20-year-old man who allegedly owned the car showed them ID documents and a disability pass. However, after officers searched the vehicle and discovered firearm ammunition, the man was taken to Burwood Police Station. Police seized the ammunition during the search, which then prompted another at a Borkham home where two firearms were found and also seized. Speaking with a worker of the bar the car is sitting outside of, they say it was quite the ordeal when police arrested the man. They took about an hour defecting his car, going through the whole car, pulling bits and pieces out and then eventually they found what was in there and then put him in handcuffs and yeah, put him in the wagon. The 20-year-old was charged with a number of offences and while he's been granted bail, his firearms licence has been suspended and he's due to appear in the Burwood local court tomorrow.
