In today's meeting we are focusing on the diplomatic and international planning measures including collective mobilisation of our full range of diplomatic and economic tools and pressures. Foreign Minister Penny Wong adding, the focus of last night's meeting was diplomatic and civilian initiatives countries could pursue to make the Strait of Hormuz accessible and safe. There are reports too around 90 Australian SAS troops were sent to the Middle East a fortnight ago and put on standby in case this war escalates even further. The Defence Force today refused to confirm exactly where our troops are citing security reasons. Let me be crystal clear, Australia has made it very clear from the highest possible levels and the strongest possible way we will not be participating in any offensive action in the Middle East.
