Secondary scans on Josh Hazlewood's hamstring revealing a strain was indeed suffered in a shield outing for New South Wales. Michael Neeser has been brought into the squad, but a test debut now looms for South Australia's Brendan Doggett. I think he runs in, he bowls a good, slightly fuller length, but I love his airspeed and his aggression and I certainly think if an opportunity presents itself, he'll grab that with both hands. The 31-year-old set for the ultimate reward after leading South Australia to the shield title last season. He's certainly done well in the last little while, he's got form this season and he also got those 11 wickets in that wonderful shield final. It'll be just the ninth time since Hazlewood's debut that both he and Cummins have been out of the Australian team. Cam Green's bowling return, timely. Yeah, really good. I think it's been a really great build up. I think there's been obviously a couple of hiccups, but yeah, to kind of get to this stage with where my body's at, I'm very happy. He passed the selector's threshold of 15 overs against Queensland, with his pace up around 140km's. I think I got promise that there wouldn't be anything taken aback from pace wise with getting the surgery done, so good to see I can still get those numbers. That was matched with a knock of 94, the 26-year-old still comfortable, batting at three. Yeah, I don't think that's an issue. I think I've been playing for WA batting four, very similar, but yeah, waiting to see what happens. If Jake Weatherill debuts in Perth, Green will likely move down to six in the order, with Bo Webster making way. It's an Australian team that's far from settled, at a time when England have received a fitness boost with Mark Wood's hamstring given the all-clear. Daniel Garb, 10 News.
