For this content creator, there's a whole lot more to New York than food, drinks and the Empire State Building. That's about 200 in total, and so far, Jane August has visited 136. The TikToker started in 2021, when museums were reopening following COVID. From a poster museum to the Swiss Institute, the 26-year-old has experienced a wide variety. I made a spreadsheet and I put in every single museum in the city that I could find. And the way I decide which ones to go is kind of, which one's open and what am I free. So I'm trying to spread it out through the boroughs, not put too many big ones at the beginning, highlight the small ones. Here she's at the Frick Collection, known for its distinguished old master paintings. It's a revisit for number 57, as the museum was at a temporary location for renovation. Museums are such a special and unique part of tourism and of New York City, and we've loved working with creators and influencers and bringing them in so they're able to share what we have to offer. This project has sparked a newfound appreciation for New York City. There's five boroughs full of arts and culture, whether it's theater or dance or museums, more than just go to a restaurant and party. There's so much, and they make so much accessible to New Yorkers and visitors. It's a big challenge that's opened up a new career path for Jane, who's now an officially licensed New York City tour guide.
