Sydney Thunder has announced the signing of Indian cricket legend Ravi Ashwin, marking one of the most significant acquisitions in Big Bash League history. The club outbid eight other teams to secure Ashwin, who will join the team alongside Pakistani star Babar Azam.

As a result, Sydney Thunder is implementing substantial changes to its security protocols and logistical plans, including at airports and training sessions, to accommodate the heightened interest and ensure smooth operations.
