Well, Mother Nature did not want to cooperate today. It's been raining on and off throughout the day. Now, the Xfinity drivers did get in their qualifying session early in the afternoon before the rain started back up, but it hasn't stopped since then. And because of that, NASCAR has decided to postpone the Xfinity race from today to Monday morning. The weather threw a wrench in Saturday's race plans at Daytona, but that didn't stop NASCAR fans who were covered in their ponchos and rain jackets from enjoying the day. It's just so exciting to be in this atmosphere, you know? If the sun was out, it'd be great, but I don't care. I'm here. I'm having fun. There were driver introductions for the Xfinity series United Rentals 300 at around 4 in the afternoon, but the drizzle never stopped, and the race was officially postponed about an hour later. It'll now run on Monday at 11 AM. We've been watching the forecast for a couple of weeks now, so we kind of expected it, but we'll make the best of it anyway. Officials started making changes to the racing schedule on Friday. The ARCA race got moved from Saturday to Friday night in an effort to avoid inclement weather. Now that there's been another weather-related schedule adjustment, fans aren't hopeful about Sunday's big race, either. It almost looks like it's going to get rained out for two days in a row. Yeah, yeah. We have to stay extra long where we're staying. As of right now, Sunday's Daytona 500 is still scheduled for 2.30 in the afternoon. Of course, that is pending weather conditions.
