With Israel under global scrutiny and right-wing lawmakers framing the leak as a blood libel against soldiers, the case now strikes at the heart of military accountability and the state's international standing. Believe this is not a new video. I want to include that again, but it's now coming to surface with new questions over the reason of why this video was leaked. What is truly the hook today as to why it's taken over the political sphere, it seems? Yes, exactly. This comes to Israeli internal political debate. After all, we're seeing this video circulating back in May 2024. It's made huge headlines inside Israel and definitely outside Israel. Many people were waiting to see such a thing. And immediately after that, the right-wing government and also the right-wing factions in general in Israel wanted to investigate who leaked this video. Because after all, we're definitely seeing here something happening behind what those soldiers are hiding. But what we're not seeing, or what actually was concluded by the medical reports, that there was no sexual harassment, although the headlines did actually indicate that, the indictment of the soldiers there was because of their treatment to the Palestinian prisoner, but not because—the detainee, actually, not prisoner—but not because of any sexual harassment, which, of course, made a huge, huge difference after all. So since then, the right-wing factions wanted this investigation to happen. Apparently, there was an investigation, at least recently, a secret investigation. And only right now, the conclusions of this secret investigation led to some, apparently, involvement of those in the persecution office, in the military. And that's why now the right-wing factions have, quote-unquote, a proof that the head of the persecution in Israel, Batzaret, as we call it in Israel, was involved in that. So, now she was forced to have, apparently, a free leave from her duty. And we're going to see an investigation, a real one, a public one, happening right now. And the defense minister, Israel Katz, just said that until the investigation finished and concludes all of its case, she will not go back to serve in the army. Ariel, what could be the real outcome of an investigation like this, and the backlash that we're already seeing in the span of some several hours since this all surfaced? So, the Pandora box was just opened today. It just began. Because when we began this story, more than a year ago, a year and a half ago, it began as if claims that Israeli soldiers in group raped—I'm sorry for the word—raped a Nuhbar terrorist who were part of October 7th's massacre. That was the beginning of the story. They, of course, denied all allegations. A year and a half later, there is still no trial against them, actually. Okay? And now—and this is very dramatic—and now the chief prosecutor of the army, actually the one who claimed that this group rape happened, she is by herself. I understand she has to step down. So, even without going to the exact details, it tells you that she knows she did something wrong. What is it exactly? Is it just leaking this video? Is it cooking the video? Did it happen by herself? Did it happen by people under her authority? I don't know. And actually, I don't think it's so important at this point. The bottom line is, I think, from Israeli point of view, from the Israeli public point of view, is there was a claim against Israel, against Israeli soldiers, as if happened what happened. A year and a half later, what figures out is that those who, I would say, helped the anti-Israeli movement in the world by sharing this conspiracy as if it happened, now they are the ones to step down. So, it tells you, probably, nothing happened then, definitely not what they said in the beginning, but even more, the chief prosecutor of the army is in a deep problem now.
