Emergency crews in Scottsdale responded to a hiker in distress in the McDowell Mountains who was suffering from heat exhaustion. The rescue team located the individual more than five miles up the trail using e-bikes and then airlifted her to safety with a helicopter.

Following the incident, local authorities are reminding hikers to adequately prepare for outdoor activities and to remain mindful of their physical capabilities, especially in challenging conditions.
