After weeks of rehearsals, Only Peace has been launched in Qatar's capital, Doha. Success of the song is not when you hear the song but when the world attains peace. Several Hollywood stars, musicians, writers and other voices from the cultural world have opposed Israel's war on Gaza. Some actors and directors have pledged not to work with Israeli film groups implicated in the genocide. In September, several artists under the banner No Music for Genocide removed their music from streaming services in Israel and occupied Palestinian territories. Many artists are facing a backlash but despite that, a growing number of them are calling for a boycott of nations and companies enabling wars. New data shows last year marked a new record for the highest number of armed conflicts in more than 70 years, a grim reality artists are trying to confront. From no art for apartheid to no music for genocide, artists from around the world are using their voices to highlight the human suffering from conflicts. They are also using their platform to demand action. While some call for accountability, others are simply calling for peace.
