And with news that an envoy of US President Donald Trump is saying that Europe will not be part of peace talks concerning Ukraine. Europe is still asleep at the moment, it has not woken up yet. It has to grow now and become big. It has to grow up. We have to defend our own peace. Among those saying that Europe has to defend itself is the French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrault. If we want to prepare for the serious threats that are accumulating over French and European skies, then we must give ourselves the means to defend ourselves. And we must not ignore it. This will require efforts on our part that we have lost the habit of making. The NATO Secretary General Mark Rutten says Europeans have to spend more and do more. And to the European allies again. Make sure that the training is there, the staff is there, the military gear, but also come up with the plans, create the facts, engage in the debate, really the Europeans can do that. Ukraine will never accept deals made behind our backs without our involvement. The Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is calling for the creation of an Army of Europe. He was speaking at the Munich Security Conference, which was also attended by the US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who the US State Department says has spoken with the Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. Moscow said the two men had pledged to show the will for cooperation on the Ukraine conflict. France, meanwhile, is reported to be planning a summit and EU foreign ministers will have discussions on Sunday morning.
