The Milwaukee Police Department has identified a suspect and referred a criminal charge to prosecutors, though no charges have been filed yet as the investigation continues.

The driver, Faith Morris, faces significant financial burdens from the incident, including $6,000 in car repairs that she must pay upfront before seeking reimbursement through Doordash's insurance. She has started a crowdfunding campaign to help cover her expenses. The case remains under investigation, and the suspect has not responded to inquiries from reporters.

MPD says it continues to seek a known suspect after a door dash customer allegedly smashed a brick into this delivery driver's car. No charge has been filed yet, as the D. A's office says their investigation is ongoing. But the victim tells me she's hopeful. It was so crazy how the glass was just raining from the sky when she was hitting it. Look, it's everywhere. Ever since July 11th, Faith Morris has been calling for accountability, but I'm glad that they're at least doing something now. Faith says she got a call from prosecutors Tuesday asking if she wanted to press charges, knowing her 12 year old son could be called as a key witness. He was the one that watched basically everything. I was kind of walking back and forth praying and calling the police and he was watching everything. So they're like, well, he's the main witness. And do I really want to put him through that? The suspect caught on this ring surveillance camera knocking on her door after Faith says she was unable to deliver the customer's food due to losing Internet service. She believes the suspect was able to find her home using the apps GPS since the order was never delivered. Describe the financial burden of being unable to work. Even when you wake up and you don't know like where your next dollar is going to come from. Door dash spokesperson says quote the Dasher is covered by the third party liability insurance provided by DoorDash. But Faith says she has to cover the $6000 in repairs up front, even if this is a one off, even if their policy states that. We don't we don't cover the bill. We only reimburse. I think that they should look at the situation. This is not the same situation as maybe someone else's situation. Faith now turning to go fund me, hoping people who watch this story feel compelled to help her with lost wages and the car repairs.
