Nearly 400,000 tonnes of Australian beef, valued at close to $4 billion, have been exported to the US this year, with the US market unable to meet domestic demand without Australian supply.

The mincemeat that they require for their patties can't be supplied by US producers alone. They need Australian producers. The Australian government has always maintained that these tariffs are unjustified. We continue to prosecute our case. Today's news, a boost to Australian farmers. The US is a longstanding trading partner of ours. We obviously welcome the decision and look forward to continuing to have a strong relationship with our US counterparts.
