Former House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes discussed the recent public release of a previously classified report concerning the investigation into alleged Russian interference in a U.S. election. Nunes stated that the report, which was declassified in 2020 but not archived as expected, found no evidence of collusion between Donald Trump and Russia. He claimed the intelligence reviewed indicated Russia was engaged in its usual activities but did not sway the election outcome.

Nunes also mentioned that a presidential daily brief, which supported the committee's findings, had been missing but was later located and released. He suggested that the document's disappearance and the subsequent Mar-a-Lago raid were connected to ongoing efforts to obtain classified materials. Nunes concluded by calling for further investigation into the handling of these documents.

DOJ vindicates the 'Nunes memo'

and Devin Nunes joins us now. And sir, it's good to have you back on the show. A once classified report that you created years ago was released to the public by Tulsi Gabbard. It's been all the talk this last week or so. What did that release change? Well, I was watching your monologue there, your prologue to my interview here and watching me surrounded by all those co-conspirators, the so-called news media, which are actually the fake news media and co-conspirators to all of this. So we were very clear about this intelligence at the time that we didn't see any evidence of Trump colluding with Russia. But in fact, it was worse than that. And the information that remained classified for so long, Rob, was information was all the intelligence that existed with the intelligence agencies that we painstakingly spent over two years going through, putting into a report that then President Trump declassified in 2020, but miraculously never made it to the archives where it was supposed to be. And so in 2021, when we went looking for that document at the archives, it never showed up, it never appeared, it just disappeared into thin air. And so, and it was locked in a double safe in the CIA, that was the House Intelligence Committee report. And thankfully, Chairman Rick Crawford, Republican, this year working with the Trump administration, as you said, Director Gabbard, was able to release this information. And it's really devastating for them because if anything, one, it proves that the original intelligence that we received was correct. This is the intelligence we received around Thanksgiving of 2016, that Russia did not do anything in the election, they were just up to their normal tricks that they were always up to, not even during an election, they're always up to tricks. So are the other bad actors around the world. Secondly, the new information that came out was that the presidential daily brief that was scheduled to be the presidential daily brief, but basically disappeared into thin air. Well, Tulsi Gabbard found that. And what did that presidential daily brief, just a couple of weeks after we were briefed in the House Intelligence Committee, what did it say? It said exactly what we got briefed on, that the Russians were up to their usual tricks, but didn't sway the election. Now, when we went through this intelligence, this is important for the audience to understand, if anything, and I'm not saying that it would be, it may be low confidence, medium confidence, but if anything, one, Putin thought that Clinton was going to win, which everybody around the world thought that, and two, it was clear, if anything, he would prefer her. Now, there weren't multiple verifications of that, but there was no, you know, I said this many times, you know, the only two people in the world we know that didn't collude with Russia were Russia and Trump. It's such a crazy story. I wanna add, I don't have a lot of time left, Mar-a-Lago, the raid that, you know, sparked everything when they started going after Trump, when it was clear he was gonna run again, what is your theory on why they raided Mar-a-Lago? Well, I mentioned the archives, so we know that that document should have went to the archives, it didn't get to the archives, and my guess is that the same cast of characters, these are all the same characters, by the way, there's two, three dozen of them, they appear from Benghazi to the Russia hoax beginnings all the way through to the Mar-a-Lago raid, many of the same people, so I think one of the documents that would have been highly classified, which was our document, we think that that was one of the documents that they were looking for, and of course, they came, if you remember that time, Rob, remember how it took, and the whole country was on pins and needles waiting, what did they find? And remember they put out that picture with all the classified, and they threw it out all over the floor of a picture at Mar-a-Lago? Well, and then it took like three days for Merrick Garland, the then Attorney General, to come out there, and he looked like he had got the living crap beat out of him, he walks out there on a Friday afternoon and basically rubs his hands and says, ah, you know, that doesn't tell us anything. Well, they didn't find anything, they need to be thoroughly investigated and prosecuted under the law. Interesting, interesting stuff. Devin Nunes, good to see you again, we appreciate it.
