the city's planning commission approved a $1.9 billion 10 year plan to expand its Disneyland theme park. It's part of the first mass expansion or major expansion plan since the 1990s, when Disneyland was transformed into a resort hub and overall spans over four decades. The proposal wouldn't necessarily increase the 490 acre footprint of the park, but instead it would help the company develop new attractions on space. It already has, for example. They could place rides and entertainment options on what is currently a 50 acre parking lot and move that parking to a multi story structure all while keeping within the same boundaries. Right now. Things are zoned for hotel or for parking. We'd like to make it a more integrated experience because we know that's what our guests are looking for. You might have a hotel right next to an attraction and really allows us to bring lands that are more accessible to our guests. That's what we're trying to do right now. We're trying to make it more immersive. Disney officials say right now there just isn't enough room in the original part to build something on a large scale without affecting existing attractions.
