Kai Truen and Paul Ocon Engstler received their first international caps while Patrick Beach tabooed between the sticks and pulled off something special. His chance to cross, it's a good cross as well, it's a miraculous save. Well this is why Patrick Beach has been called up to the Socceroos. Venezuela was fired up as Nestori Irunkunda showed some frustration with Australia sitting off, the South Americans managed to capitalise. Popovich's problems compounded further when Jason Garry was forced off with injury just it remained one-way traffic from the start of the second half. The South Americans boss possession as the Aussies struggled to get a foothold in the game, Riley McGriff finally ended Australia's hour-long drought between shots on target when he was subbed on while Alhassan Toure was hungry for a dream taboo. That's a good ball as well for Alhassan, can't hit them, does so it's a good save from Contreras. Yeah I think it was tough to go 1-0 down here and I think they did really well to keep the ball and I think it was better second half but yeah I think we can play much better than that. Yeah I think it's really exciting bringing some younger boys in and getting their opportunity and making their debut, it's something really special and something they'll remember for the rest of their lives. I think it was quite a difficult match, we were against a very good opposition, they made us work a lot and in the end they got the result but obviously we stuck through to the end and yeah it was quite good how we stuck together and we fought to the very end. Not the result you wanted but on a personal note you made your Socceroos debut, congratulations on that, how did it feel and how did you review your own performance? Look it's obviously a dream to make your debut with the national team, I think it's every boy's dream and to have done it with Australia representing my country, just an amazing feeling, it would have been better had we have won the game but yeah obviously very exciting making my debut but obviously would have wanted to make that debut with a win.
