A shelter-in-place was lifted Friday morning in Clear Creek County after an overnight manhunt for a suspect believed to be associated with several trespassing incidents. A man was taken into custody.

Authorities in Clear Creek County have arrested a suspect believed to be involved in a series of trespassing and burglary incidents in Idaho Springs. The suspect was captured on camera by local media before being apprehended by deputies. 

The incidents, which occurred over several days, involved trespassing on private properties and the theft of approximately $2,000 worth of items, as well as property damage of a similar value. The suspect was linked to a white SUV that crashed during a police pursuit, after which he fled on foot. Law enforcement, including canine units, conducted a search before successfully taking the suspect into custody.

Our alley Jenner john has been in Idaho Springs all morning long alley. You and our photo journalists caught that suspect on camera. We did Veronica, we were setting up for our hit to bring you updates at seven this morning on local three. We've been out here all morning long and this is the image we caught of this suspect walking right past our camera. Of course, we're out here with other media outlets as well. Um, and they ended up calling police and police have confirmed or deputies have confirmed with the Clear Creek Sheriff's Office that that is the suspect. And you know, we saw a police car arrive shortly after that suspect crossed paths with our camera. So we ended up following that police car. That's actually why we ended up here at the police station. We felt like something was going on. We did confirm again that suspect is now in custody. Outside of that home. Can you break down what this suspect is accused of and then that timeline of events as well? Yeah, a few things. So this actually spans from monday to thursday when reports of about three separate trespassings occurred. This is all in private property throughout Idaho Springs, which is where we are right now. You can see in the surveillance video him, that suspect appearing at one of these homes and we know that one of the three homes he trespassed on deputies are telling us that he stole about $2,000 worth of items and caused the same amount of damage. Um, so he's wanted for trespassing and burglary as well. Again, still only a suspect just now in custody. Also take a look at these images of this white SUV. This is the car that deputies have linked to him. And at one point they ended up on a short police chase or deputy chase with him on highway 103 and he ended up crashing that car. They say close to mile marker three. You can see some of the damage in those images from the car right there. That's when he got loose, he ran away on foot after that car crashed. Canines tried to find them, they lost into him, they were unable to track him down. So that's why we were out here this morning to bring you updates on that manhunt.
