TikTok's so-called secret source lies in its AI-driven algorithms, which bring users curated content they're known to love. These algorithms were developed and are owned by ByteDance, and China considers this technology sensitive and critical to its national interest. Any sale would require a license and approval from Beijing. Analysts say TikTok has been caught in the crosshairs of a tech war between Washington and Beijing. You can still see clear policies against Huawei and China's tech sector. So therefore, it's very likely that TikTok is another Huawei in this game.
