Violence is on the rise between Palestinians and Israeli settlers determined to seize and occupy land. This is video released by an Israeli human rights group of an attack just over two weeks ago in the town of Kafr Malik. A Palestinian community leader said more than a hundred armed settlers set fire to cars and buildings. It's been a violent week in Gaza too. Airstrikes lit up the sky over the Strip and in the morning Gazans woke to take stock of the damage and count the bodies. Health officials affiliated with Hamas say the war's death toll now tops 57,000. A number that includes combatants but thousands of women and children too. One was Amna Al-Sami, a painter who hoped one day to study abroad. But she died, said her mother, in an Israeli strike at the end of June on what was a beachfront cafe. One of the few remaining businesses where Gazans could gather. Here's Amna's body being gathered up. One of 40 people killed in that strike according to hospital officials. They've taken our children and our loved ones, Kitam Al-Sami told CBS News. When will this bloodshed stop? That of course is the crucial question. We had hoped for a ceasefire by now but there is still some distance between the two sides on contentious issues. On the upside though both negotiating teams remain in Doha and at least until yesterday were still engaged in active talks.
