The Victorian Supreme Court has released new footage of evidence shown during Erin Patterson's trial, including footage of a police interview.

The Victorian Supreme Court has released two video clips related to the Erin Patterson case. The first clip shows CCTV footage of Patterson arriving to dispose of a dehydrator, which was described during the trial as the murder weapon. The second clip captures her being interviewed by police after a search of her home, where she handed over a dummy phone instead of her main device. Investigators were able to retrieve cell tower data from the main phone, linking it to locations where death cap mushrooms were found. Patterson is scheduled to appear in court again for a date-setting exercise ahead of a pre-sentencing hearing.

Two clips were released late this afternoon by the Victorian Supreme Court. Now these were shown to the jury during the trial but for the first time we see Erin Patterson on CCTV arriving to dump the dehydrator which during the trial was described as the murder weapon and in the second clip we see her being interviewed by one of the detectives after a four hour search of the home. She's seen handing the phone over to police but that phone is the dummy phone. Officers never recovered the main phone that she had been using in the lead up to the lunch. The device which came to be nicknamed Phone B during the trial had been factory reset on numerous occasions but detectives retrieved cell tower data which placed it near sites where death cap mushrooms were growing.
