The Blue Jays are on the brink of clinching their first championship in 32 years. They will host the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 6 of the World Series tonight. The two-time MLB All-Star and 2013 World Series champion Ryan Dempster joins us now. He's the co-host of MLB Network's Intentional Talk which will air live from the Rogers Center in Toronto tonight. It's good to see you, my friend. So as you know, the story Wednesday was the pitching for the Blue Jays and tonight it could be pitching for the Dodgers. How well positioned is Los Angeles to keep the season alive with star Yoshinobu Yamamoto on the mound? How did you and the Red Sox feel, let me just take you back, when you were on the brink of winning the series in 2013? I mean, just give us a sense of that, especially given, I mean, the Red Sox for a time in the late 2000s after that, you know, desert storm of like 80 years were on fire during your era. Yeah, you know, it was fun and we were coming off of a year where 2012 wasn't the greatest year. They finished in last place. And then a bunch of us new guys came in, in 2013 and, you know, it was an emotional year with the Boston bombing at the marathon that year and just kind of the city rallying around us and then us using that as a catapult to kind of motivate us to do something special for the city. And we felt like very, very confident going into the playoffs and it just kept building and building. You know, we won game three, we lost game three, sorry, on a, on an obstruction call at third base and to go down two to one and that can, that could end up hurting it. We pick off Colton long at first base to end game four and then Johnny Gomes with the three run home run. And then after that, we go home. It felt like we couldn't lose. And I think that's the one thing that both of these teams are experiencing right now is an unbelievable sense of confidence and the ability to win games. Even the Dodgers are down through three, two, they are champions, man. And don't discount them for a second. If you're anybody, the blue J sure won't. They know these guys are studs, but guys like that, Lottie is putting on a performance. Like we would see out of my old teammate, David Ortiz and big poppy, what he would do there in the world series and the playoffs and the beginning clutch hitting good pitching. They got a great team, a great vibe, both of these clubs do. So you know, I feel a lot of those things. Isn't it a fun time for me because I'm thinking about back to that. I was just having coffee with a buddy talking about exactly that, where you've, you've started from February 15th together. You've been through all this. You truly feel unbeatable right now. And there's a lot of confidence and, and rightfully so to put yourself in this position. So Toronto has got to be feeling pretty good going into tonight. Yeah. And I got to believe that. I mean, I know there's a lot of pressure on Otani, but he seems as he strikes me as a cool customer when he's doing his thing.
