This district is one of the highest producing dairy regions in the country. He's one of nine Republican congressmen from a state that sends 52 to Washington. But that could soon change. California, the whole nation is counting on you. With Prop 50, you can stop Republicans in their tracks. That's what they want to do is take us backwards. This is why it is important for you to vote no on Proposition 50. And Valadao worries drawing farming communities into districts represented by lawmakers from big cities might mean rural concerns don't get enough attention. A lot of people who live in the city forget the fact that all the commodities and all the different things that are grown require water. A lot of times, you feel like you have to remind people in general that the water that comes through the Central Valley helps grow the food that people eat all across the country. And to those who say, we're doing this because Donald Trump started this. My mom taught me a long time ago that two wrongs don't make a right. Beyond California and Texas, at least nine other states have or are considering redrawing their congressional maps through legislation or lawsuits. And an upcoming decision from the U.S. Supreme Court over the future of the Voting Rights Act could compel several more states to make changes.
