The Chooks are crowing, but still no certainty of finals. It is nice to be able to sit here and say, oh we're in a better spot than people thought we were going to be, but we've done nothing yet. You know, we're sitting at eight, we've got three rounds to go. Setting the standard is the skipper, James Tedesco, a favourite for the D'Alien medal. He could be captain of the year after guiding the so-called Roosters rebuild. Looking back in pre-season, I remember him winning a lot of the con stuff and a lot of the hard stuff and looking back I feel like he might have done some work in the off-season and made sure he was ready to go this year because he knew how important it was going to be. Helping on field is the emergence of Hugo Savala, a rookie with a booming boot. I'm pretty sure it's size 16, I don't know, his toes are about this long, it's like my middle finger, but yeah, he's been awesome. Brent Simpson, 10 News.
